What is LearnerMiles?
LearnerMiles is a digital driving practice companion for new drivers and the parents or coaches supervising them. It offers 10 illustrated skill levels, step-by-step practice lessons, saved progress records and Sassi guidance. Use it alongside the official driver manual and licensing requirements where you drive.
Who created LearnerMiles?
Sasheen Maple, owner and instructor at Drivers Edu Driving School, created LearnerMiles using her experience teaching new drivers and supporting their families. Drivers Edu provides driving-school services in Maryland. LearnerMiles provides a practice companion for learners and coaches in different regions.
How do I teach my teenager to drive?
First confirm the current permit, supervision and training requirements with your official licensing agency. Choose a suitable practice setting and one skill to work on. Explain the task while parked, observe the learner during practice and discuss the result after stopping safely. Our free first-drive lesson provides a starting plan.
What should we practice in a parking lot?
The free first lesson begins with the learner’s concerns, a walkaround check and vehicle controls. It then introduces pedal pressure and controlled starts and stops in a clear area where practice is permitted. Follow local permit, supervision, insurance and property requirements.
How can a coach support a nervous new driver?
Ask what feels difficult before practice and agree on clear instructions. Keep the task suitable for the learner and the setting. Discuss detailed feedback once safely parked. If safe vehicle control or supervision is a concern, pause the session and seek help from a qualified driving instructor.
Does completing the workbook replace required driver education?
No. LearnerMiles is supplemental learning support. Official licensing agencies set training, supervised-practice, examination and record requirements. Completing a workbook lesson or receiving a readiness grade does not issue a license or replace required instruction.
How do readiness grades work?
Readiness grades suggest skills to repeat or possible next steps. Every workbook level remains available for reviewing material. Actual driving practice must still fit the learner’s ability, appropriate supervision, local rules and conditions.
What is the difference between LearnerMiles and Drivers Edu?
LearnerMiles organizes practice between lessons through a digital workbook and coaching resources. Drivers Edu Driving School provides Maryland driver education and related school services. A LearnerMiles membership does not enroll someone in a Drivers Edu course.
How do I get started or return to my workbook?
Start with the free first-drive lesson to explore the approach. Read the current workbook membership details before enrolling. Returning students should use Student sign-in with the account associated with their membership.

Official rules and professional support
Find official state licensing resources. Outside the United States, consult the licensing authority where you drive. The NHTSA teen-driving resources explain the role of parents and local licensing rules.
